1. KidBook's 30-Day Refund Window
We voluntarily offer a 30-day refund window from the date of purchase, in addition to any rights you have under local law. EU/UK consumers retain their statutory 14-day withdrawal right under Directive 2011/83/EU โ our 30-day window extends beyond that floor.
Because personalized digital content begins generating immediately upon purchase, once the AI starts creating your book you are deemed to have consented to immediate performance and waived the statutory 14-day withdrawal right. This is disclosed at checkout. Our voluntary 30-day refund remains available for the cases listed in Section 2.
2. When You Get a Full Refund
We refund 100% of the purchase price if:
- generation failed due to an error on our side and we cannot complete your book within 72 hours;
- you were charged twice for the same order;
- the book is materially different from what you ordered (wrong language, wrong page count) and cannot be corrected;
- you cancel a video order before video generation has started.
3. Partial Refunds & Store Credit
For complaints about quality (illustration mistakes, small story issues) we first offer free regeneration. If you remain dissatisfied we may, at our discretion, issue partial refunds or store credit toward a future order.
4. No Refunds
We cannot refund once:
- the book PDF or video has been downloaded or watched in full;
- more than 30 days have passed since purchase;
- the request is outside the scope above and generation completed correctly;
- payment was made through a third-party gift/bundle and the upstream provider blocks chargebacks.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email support@kidbook.online from the account address with:
- your order ID (found in the receipt email);
- a brief reason for the request;
- any screenshots or examples that illustrate the issue.
We respond within 2 business days and resolve within 14 business days.
6. How Refunds Are Paid
Refunds return to the original payment method (Paddle / LemonSqueezy / Payriff). Timing depends on your bank โ typically 3โ10 business days after we approve the refund. We do not refund to alternative methods or as cash.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is in error, please contact us first. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in account suspension and may be disputed with the payment provider. We preserve evidence of order delivery (logs, generated files) for this purpose.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes that reduce consumer protections apply only to orders placed after the update. The date above shows the current version.
